Eric Bazinet

Liberté Caravans was founded in 2019 by Eric Bazinet in Embrun, Ontario. To this date, Eric still has this vision.

I envision Liberté as a driving factor in helping Canadians live longer and healthier lives by enabling year-round activities and inspiring travel experiences. I believe that by offering an affordable caravan that is warm and comfortable for all seasons, Canadians will be able to live their best lives.

Eric Bazinet, founder of the company, earned his Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Ottawa in Ontario.

A respected leader, Eric manages an engineering team specializing in architecture, mechanical systems, structural engineering, and electrical systems on radar sites throughout the Canadian Arctic.

Eric designs his first trailer with towing efficiency in mind. The Teardrop-style Pleinair model is built using ultra-lightweight composite materials.

A complete renovation of a 1962 Airstream Overlander trailer allows Eric to explore various technologies designed to handle winter conditions in complete comfort.

Eric collaborates with Gibson Product Design to support the preliminary design process.

One of the concepts is selected for the construction of the first prototype.

An innovative design concept is selected, and Eric acquires a property to establish his future manufacturing facility in Limoges, Ontario.

Liberté Caravans completes its first prototype, “Prototype 1”.

The construction of Prototype 2 is completed, and the caravan

undergoes a series of tests.

The design of the SNØ model.

Liberté Caravans opens its doors to the public. With its SNØ model, the company attracts a new market by offering unique opportunities to fully enjoy the winter season.

The manufacturing of the SNØ model is completed, and the company is officially launched.

SNØ, the Arctic caravan, is completed and a series of public events are organized.
