This week celebrates the first month of a life changing transition for me. One month ago, I was a full time employee and leader in a reputable crown corporation in Ottawa. Since I recently resigned from my full time job and announced my plan to start a business in the configurable caravan (camping trailer) market, I get a lot of questions and comments from peers. One of the most frequently asked question is about the name, Liberté Caravans, and its meaning. It’s no secret I am french canadian, from rural eastern ontario, Embrun to be more specific. Hello Friends of Liberté, I would like to explain why I chose the name Liberté for this new venture. Liberté is pronounced “Lee-Ber-Tay” in English and has an acute accent (é) on the final letter. It is obviously a French name, which is only natural since I am from Embrun, a small French-Ontarian community. The word simply means freedom. L’objectif de mon entreprise est de rapprocher les gens de la nature et des autres. I truly believe that when we are genuinely connected to nature and to one another, we ultimately experience a profound sense of freedom. Imagine the feeling
